Fermo

Diocesan Museum

Next to the majestic Cathedral, the continuation of a millennial history.

The Diocesan Museum is inside the former seat of the Confraternity of Suffrage, adjacent to majestic Fermo Cathedral.

It houses the Chasuble of St Thomas Becket, a very rare example of textile art of Arab origin dating from 1116, and the splendid

De Firmonibus Missal, illuminated in 1436 by Ugolino da Milano. It is open on the image of the Cavalcade of the Assumption, an ancient town procession testifying to the Marian cult that lives on, every 15 August, in the eponymous historical commemoration.
