Along Corso Cavour, in the district of San Bartolomeo, stands Palazzo Paccaroni, an ancient residence that, in its rooms with splendidly-frescoed ceilings, houses two precious centres: the only museum in Italy dedicated to Arctic peoples and polar explorers and the fascinating collection owned by Italy’s leading ornithologist.
