“Steve McCurry – Children” and “Rinascimento a Fermo” at Palazzo dei Priori in Fermo have been extended!

Due to overwhelming public interest, the exhibitions “Steve McCurry – Children” and “Rinascimento a Fermo” at Palazzo dei Priori in Fermo have been extended. Originally set to conclude in early May, these exhibitions will now run until 6 July 2025 and 27 July 2025, respectively.
Record-Breaking Attendance
Since their opening in December 2024, the exhibitions have attracted over 27,000 visitors, a testament to their widespread appeal. The influx of art enthusiasts, both local and from other regions, has solidified Fermo’s status as a cultural destination.
“Steve McCurry – Children”
Curated by Biba Giacchetti, this exhibition showcases over 50 photographs by renowned photographer Steve McCurry, focusing on the theme of childhood. Spanning nearly five decades of McCurry’s career, the collection offers a poignant exploration of youth across diverse cultures.
“Rinascimento a Fermo”
Curated by Vittorio Sgarbi with Walter Scotucci, this exhibition delves into the Renaissance period in the Fermo region. Featuring works by artists such as Carlo Crivelli, Giulio Romano, and Lorenzo Lotto, the exhibition has recently expanded with five additional pieces from local collections.

Enhanced Cultural Access
Visitors to either exhibition receive complimentary access to Fermo’s extensive museum network, including the Roman Cisterns, Diocesan Museum, and Teatro dell’Aquila. Additionally, ticket holders can explore the museum circuit in Sant’Elpidio a Mare, reflecting the collaborative efforts between the two municipalities.
